Frequently Asked Question: Do I need to submit my nitrate and/or chloride data in more than one place?

Answer: No.

Explanation: If you participate in Save Our Streams Chemical monitoring, then you may be reporting chloride and/or nitrate data to the Clean Water Hub via the SOS Chemical protocol. You may be wondering if you should also report this data to the Clean Water Hub via the Salt Watch or Nitrate Watch protocol.

The answer is no - there is no need to report the same data twice. All the chloride data that is submitted via the SOS Chemical protocol will be incorporated into Salt Watch data reports and maps. Likewise, all the nitrate data that is submitted via the SOS Chemical protocol contributes to Nitrate Watch reports and maps.
